SHEEPWORLD FOR OVERSEAS VISITORS
New Zealand Sheep and Wool Centre
Many of our visitors at Sheepworld are international travellers, hoping to learn about New Zealand's way of life, nature and people.
Sheepworld is New Zealand's Sheep and Wool Centre, giving an insight into our sheep farming and wool industry. From tending the sheep to creating high quality woollen and sheepskin products.
However, we don't forget that you're here to enjoy yourself, so we make sure that what we do is always entertaining as well as educational.
We welcome visitors from all over the world, and a comment we often hear is how friendly, typically "Kiwi" and personal the experience at Sheepworld is.
The Sheepworld Show is very visual, but for non-English language speakers we have translation sheets available to help better understand the presentation.
To assist Chinese visitors we have a Chinese staff team member on hand, including show translation. Additionally, each Sunday we have an extra show at 12.30 pm presented solely in Chinese language.
Shopping and Cafe
As well as the obvious attractions at Sheepworld, we also have excellent shopping on site offering top quality woolen, sheepskin and other natural products.
Overseas visitors can choose to have purchases shipped to their home, which as well as being convenient saves the NZ tax on their items.
Also on site we have a great little cafe that makes great coffee, snacks and meals.
Most visitors arrive by their own transport. There is plenty of free parking for all sizes of vehicles.
Details of where we are located and how to find us are on the main Plan Your Visit page. Here you'll also find information on how to get here using public transport.
There is no overnight accomodation at Sheepworld, but there is a seperately owned and managed campground adjacent.
